Using Psychedelics To Alleviate Fear Of Death Among Terminally Ill

23 Apr

Wouldn’t it be amazing to live in a country NOT run by and for morons and hacks.

This article in the New York Times  describes how administering drugs extracted from mushrooms and the like can almost totally alleviate the terror of death in those given a terminal diagnosis.

It makes sense. Of course drugs like, say, Ecstasy, if administered therapeutically, can make it possible to see life and death in a very different, and infinitely more hopeful way.

But, of course, at this point, one can only get access to these drugs illegally or through a study. No pharmaceutical company will manufacture an illegal drug.

When are we going to rise up against the tyranny of those who make drugs illegal, ban abortion, stigmatize homosexuality, and prosecute people who help terminally ill friends and relatives die?

Couldn’t far left progressives join up with Ron Paul type conservatives and smash this aspect of the nanny state?

Think about it. We can eliminate the fear of death and the pain that accompanies death but our government won’t let us.

Is this a dumbass country or what?
